Lashlift richtig machen: So gelingt dir das perfekte Ergebnis

How to Do a Lash Lift Properly: Tips for Perfect Results

A lash lift shapes your natural lashes, gives them visible curl, and makes them look longer—no extensions or daily lash curler needed. Sounds easy. And with the right technique, it is.

To make sure your lash lift turns out even and the curl looks just the way you want, a few details matter:

Choosing the right silicone pad size

The silicone pad plays a big role in how your lash lift will look. If the pad is too small, the curl can be too strong. If it’s too large, the lifting effect might be weaker.

Choose your pad based on the length of your natural lashes:

  • S-Pads for short lashes
  • M-Pads for medium to long lashes

Fleeky Tip: The silicone pad doesn’t fit your eye shape perfectly? You can carefully trim the sides with scissors to customize it.

Thoroughly clean your lashes before the lash lift

Residue from makeup, skincare, or oil can affect how well the glue and lotions work.

So, make sure to thoroughly clean and degrease your lashes before the lash lift. You can use our Cleanser or an oil-free makeup remover for this step.

Properly fix your lashes onto the silicone pad

Your lashes should stay securely on the silicone pad throughout the entire lash lift. If some lashes are too loosely fixed or come off during the process, the result can be uneven.

Apply enough lash glue and gently but carefully place your lashes onto the pad. They should be fully secured without pulling too hard.

No worries: If you’re gentle, you don’t have to be afraid of pulling out your lashes by fixing them too loosely.

Separate your lashes cleanly

With a lash lift, it’s not just about the curl, but also the direction.

Make sure your lashes are straight, parallel, and not crossing over each other on the silicone pad. Small gaps or crossed lashes can show in the final result.

Use the lash lift tool to precisely align and separate each lash.

Apply the lotion correctly

More product doesn’t automatically mean more lift.

Apply the lotion in a thin line about 1 mm away from the waterline along the lash line. Focus on the relevant part of the lashes and skip the tips.

Avoid frizzy lash tips

The tips especially don’t need too much product. This reduces the risk of them becoming frizzy later.

Don’t just guess the processing time

Processing time is one of the most important factors in a lash lift. Too short—and you might not get the curl you want. Too long—and your lashes can get unnecessarily stressed.

So always stick to the recommended processing times and consider your lashes’ individual characteristics. We explain in detail how to use the Lash Check to know when your lashes are ready for the next step in our separate blog post about the Lash Check.

The right aftercare for your lash lift

Your lash lift is done—now your lashes need a little rest.

For the first 24 hours, you should:

  • keep your lashes as dry as possible
  • skip mascara
  • avoid using oil-based products on your lashes
  • stay away from hot steam and high humidity
  • don’t let water run directly over your lashes

After that, you can go back to your normal routine. The right care will give your lashes extra support.

Your lash lift gets easier every time

Pad size, processing time, product amount, Lash Check—there are a lot of little details the first time you do a lash lift. But it’s exactly these details that make all the difference in the end.

So after your application, make a note of which silicone pad you used, how long the lotions processed, and how your lashes reacted. Next time, you’ll know even better what works for your lashes.

And then it’s just: lift, learn, repeat.
